Just to wrap this up, I did end up having the old tensioner so going through with the service was a good call. Replaced everything involved including updated chains and tensioner, ran around $1100 and a full day. Thanks to everyone who commented!

I decided to just go through with the timing chain service, going through all the input I decided just to have the peace of mind. Luckily, I am able to start work again next week and will have to commute 70 miles round trip so might as well make sure the car is in top shape.

So I've called 2 more dealerships and they both aren't able to tell me which one I have in my car. I looked through my car documents and my car's production date is 2011-11-26. Does this give any insight on what may be in the car?

That's interesting that you bring this up because when I asked my mechanic if there was any signs to look out for that the tensioner is starting to wear, he told me that there isn't and they just randomly go out. No mention about stretch at all. I'm trying to figure out if I have the old or new...
