Ready to race!
Just confirmed the kmd kit came with the new TOB as I kept the original box for the part. Assuming it's air in the system is this something I need to take it back to the shop to fix? I got my clutch install done 5 hours away because I wanted to go to a VW/Audi specialist tuning shop.

You should be able to bleed the clutch yourself, it's no different than bleeding the brakes

Excellent! I have a mighty vac I used to bleed my brakes the other week...but it didn't work that well. It was hard to get a real tight seal so I couldn't distinguish the air bubbles.

Any suggestions for a good clutch bleeder kit?

I'll be bleeding mine when I put the car back together next week, I'd think any you could find at napa, advanced, or autozone would work, I need to look at the diameter of the nipple on the stock bleeder block, not sure if it's larger, smaller, or the same size as what is on the brakes, if you don't have it sorted by then I'll let you know what I figure out

Well I've decided to take my car in to the shop. About 2 days of driving without the clutch stop proved that I must have some kind of leak somewhere. The engagement point is getting lower every drive and now it's completely at the floor so I can barely get it in gear. Thankfully, I found a shop close by referenced by a friend and the service manager seems to know VW and Audi in and out. I can only hope! Car is parked until Monday night when I can hopefully get one more drive out of it to bring it to the shop.

I would like to trouble shoot all of this on my own, but I feel the need to take it in because 1) I am super busy the next month, and 2) I don't want to mess with anything transmission related on my own. I'll leave that to the pros.

Until then it's a lot of riding this:

Hope they find the issue quickly.

Well I'm just going to crawl into a hole and die now....

Shop looked the car over and there is a leak in the master or slave cylinder. They need to pull the transmission. So much for taking previous expensive measures (driving to HS Tuning for my clutch install) to prevent any transmission issues when upgrading to a new clutch. Looking like another $800...F.M.L.

Ugh, while the pricing sucks at least it is getting fixed. Especially with how long you have been trying to resolve it.

Not that everyone can do the same, I was going to take mine to Redline Speedworx to do the clutch and diff install, but decided it was worth it to just learn the trans so I could do the diff rather than pay someone else in case some minor BS like a leaking slave cylinder came up, hopefully it's resolved quickly dude

Yeah I'd love to be able to rip apart the trans myself and learn, but no time and no lift for me :(

No lift for me either, it will be the first purchase after buying a house this winter haha I've now pulled the motor in three vehicles and 7 transmissions on jackstands, it's starting to get old haha

Wow! Props man! I think my next project car I may try and tackle the motor and transmission. Or maybe just help someone else do it and learn from that. I'm seeing all these forum members with lifts in their garages and it makes me jealous b/c that ain't happening on a teacher salary!!! haha
