City Light Bulbs.

Help needed here. I read the whole thread but I'm not sure which bulb to buy as there were a few recommendations.

I want the bulbs to perfectly match the OEM HID headlights. I already bought $1 leds bulbs on ebay to test my coding. They works fine in the citylights and do not throw codes but the color is slightly blue when I want OEM white.

Which bulb do I need?

I changed my Byte 27 bit 2 using VAG-COM and it worked, I tried this 1.5 Watt and this 5 SMD neither threw a code. I ended up using the 5 SMD one because the light was brighter and more even.

THANK YOU!!! This fixed my Light Out error with my LEDs installed. I don't know how many times I have seen that option, but assumed it was for LED + HID package.

Here is a before and after.

anyone have any clue if all this information is similar for 2012 golf/gti? cause ECS tuning sells city lights but doesn't work for 2012 model only 2011 and below..

Sorry to revive an old thread, but how do these fit? I just received mine and it doesn't seem like they fit unless you force them in.

Rotate them around and try to force them in.

I tried to do that, but I feel like if I try to push them in any harder it's going to break something.

DO NOT force them in. If they don't go in without resistance, you will never get them out. Well, not without takig your headlights completely apart.

Mine went in with minimal resistance, and I almost didn't get them out when I tried another set that were supposed to be error free. When I tried to remove them, the stayed in the hole when I pulled the socket out of the hole. Fortunately they didn't fall in, and I was able to grab them with small needle nose pliers.

If they won't go in without resistance, return them.

Which bulbs did you end up going with?

I got them off ebay. There aren't any part # on the package. Here is the description.

T10 184 192 W5W Wedge 5 SMD 5050 LED LIGHT Xenon White

The seller was mactronicusa, and the item # was 280824312160.
