Interesting, your window looks totally different than mine. Also, I found out why mine was not working when just changing the speed setting. There is a box in the long coder where it allows you to check a box that says "Enable speed threshold" or something similar. That was de-selected, and since they do not allow you disable that warning this meant that the speed warning was displayed anytime the car was moving any speed. Once I selected the box to enable and re-did the code it would look for the limit which I had set at 250.

Hmm... That is interesting. Also, our Navigation Module Adaptation tables are different, but I think that's because I have an RNS-510 and you have an RNS-315, presumably.

I'll have to check my Radio Module to see if that is similar to yours - I'll probably tinker with that stuff later tonight.

Also, I'll add your bluetooth sensitivity to my tutorials too :)

Thanks again for making all this in one thread - it sure helps, even when I need to remember how to do all these settings in VCDS.

EDIT: Added another

Driver Steering Recommendation (DSR) Settings
http://www.golfmk6.com/forums/showthread.php?p=818996&posted=1#post818996

Now, this is a bit troubling to me. Driver Steering Recommendation (DSR) in the Steering Assist module is different than the Dynamic Steering Recommendation (DSR) in the ABS module.

Now, which one is which? In the sourced thread of http://www.golfmk6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=25039, they talk about the DSR setting in the ABS module as the little tug from the steering wheel that attempts to make you turn the wheel a bit more. HOWEVER, I don't think this is the case.

There is another DSR setting in the STEERING ASSIST module which may be the RIGHT one for this.

I believe the DSR setting in the ABS module is actually the Dynamic Steering Recommendation (DSR) which control how the electromechincal steering acts at certain speeds.

I don't really know how to test this, but it's just a little irkling that I got when making these tutorials.

Dude! Seriously! Thats just f-ing awesome.

I'll add this to the first post tomorrow. I'm too busy this evening.

Also, if you want to test DSR, just wait until winter and find an open parking lot. ;)

That is probably it, you're right.

This is what mine shows.

And this is the section in the long coder I was talking about.

That box must be checked for the warning to be removed. Counter-intuitive, but it won't let you completely disable it.

Also, I'll add your bluetooth sensitivity to my tutorials too :)

Cool, I will continue to tweak the setting and see if I can report a confirmed setting to minimize background noise. lol

You can add my shot of the speed entry above as well if you want so people with the different ones don't get scared. :D

Sure thing :)

It's interesting that different navigation units have different VCDS modules and etc. If anything, yours is probably the most accurate since I think most people on this board have the RNS-315 units rather than the RNS-510 (only Canadians, RoW and early MK6s in the USA)

alright you VCDS experts.....

I have what may be a dumb question. Knowing the ROW GTI's still have the 2 stage ESP button(can sorta turn off ESP) Is it possible to set our ECU's to ROW and get this feature? I know there will be more to it than that ;) I was thinking about trying this out this weekend.

Do they have a 2 stage button? If not, it stands to reason it would be in there somewhere

wondering something here... Is there a code, to have your turn signals in the headlights 'on all the time'.. but not flashing.. sorta like a Subaru or a Mercedes or BMW.. and when you want to use them they start flashing...

What do you mean by squares?

EDT: Are you talking about the Battery icon and iPod/Phone icon?
yep! i wanted the battery and ipod icons and not those stupid squares. in my fiance's CC you don't see that and you can change songs on pandora from the steering wheel and mine doesn't do that!

Hm... You might need to delete that phone profile and resync/connect to your phone again. I think that's what someone did on the Vortex and got rid of the squares... but I'm not 100% sure.

When I go into Adaptation I get "ERROR: Channel Not Available"

Any ideas? Possibly a TDI/GTI difference?
