issues??

so, I need to know .... has anyone had any "issues" with these new wheels?

since I've had them mounted -- they have yet to run "true" :(

first mount - vibrations @75mph. Had them try a rebalance. Still there. went a couple weeks.
re-mount and rebalance -- a little less vibes, still @75mph -- but the shop noted it took ELEVEN weights to balance one of them!!
I was told by this (german specialists, very professional) shop that these wheels didn't appear "true" -- they're not bent, but can't seem to line up %100 straight/balanced.

rotation, done this week -- vibe is now at 80mph, but more prevalant/harsh.

I won't lie, I'm a bit bummed after waiting so long to get them, then the custom finish .... love how they look, but it's preventing me from loving my car completely and holding back my driving ....especially with track days coming up. :iono:

is there some level of test(ing) or inspection I could perform or have done, to figure out what the root problem really is???

A quick update for everyone for above issue :)

We're in contact with Scott and are working out the details of the order.

Looks like the wheels were stripped and powder coated at a third party shop after the wheels were picked up. With that being said, we're suggesting that the shop that mounted and balanced the wheels perform some radial and lateral run out tests on the wheels.

Another probability is that there could be powder coat over-spray within the center bore area causing the wheel to fit not as snug as they should since we machine our wheels specifically to OE center bore sizing.

Will update everyone with outcome.

**updated with solution(s)**

let me first say in no way was there any animosity on my behalf with VMR, was not looking to bash them, and I've never had an issue with their good products at all , just could not get rid of the nagging wiggle from day one (that I had them on the car)

AWESOME CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM VMR!!!

VMR reached out to me after seeing this original post, and Noel and Mitch set up at time for me to come into the warehouse, and have some runouts done while doing some road force balancing/testing. Awesome attention to detail, as each wheel/tire combo was removed, inspected, tested and re-balanced/mounted.

In short , looks like we found 2 possible culprits -- 1 - tire off center from proper mounting point(s). They were able to shift it back to correct position and 2) on anoher wheel looks like the powdercoating process (or prep for it) may have "over-cooked" one of the wheels, and it has just the slightest outof perfect circle rotation -- it's most likely hairs of mm's, but enough to notice on the hub. VMW's techs went through each wheel, re-balanced (removing some of the "excess" weights at that) and remounted accordingly, and got them back on where it should have the least impact.

drive home, it's BARELY noticeable at 80-85mph. Feels like fun again at my usual cruise speeds 70-75mph.

A BIG thanks to Mitch, Noel, the tech (didn't catch his name) and Matt (sales?) for their thoroughness, and making sure everything was checked and done properly. I think many other companies could have easily said "oh, you had them coated after purchase??..... not our issue, thanks-bye" ... VMR really stepped up and made it all better I actually didn't know VMR could get a custom color done for you , or I would have just had them do it in the first place!

so with all that said and done -- 1) wont' be using that powder-coater again 2) my car is fun again! and 3) DEFINITELY ordering a replacement v810 that I will have VMR prep and coat in prismatic bronze chrome!!!!

cheers Gents!
