17" Aftermarket Wheels

Just saw a Mk6 GTI at a dealer. I'm liking it, and may get one to replace my '03 VR6. However, I'm not happy with the wheel selection.

I live in NYC (Manhattan). 18"ers will always be one pothole away from the scrapyard. I'd like to stay with 17"ers. However the 17" Denvers (if I have the right name) are kinda ugly. I might get the car with them with A/S tires, and use them as winters. I'd get a new set of wheels with summer tires for most of the year.

But I'm not liking most of the 17" wheels I see on Tirerack for the MK6 (I assume the MK5 is the same). What would be other good sources for 17" wheels?

i have 17" on my mk6! they are vw wheels but i know nothing else about them

I found out they are Onyx Black VW wheels! what do you mean by a full profile shot??

i hope that is off use 2 u! last 2 are nicer as they have the tire dressing on the tyre!
