2012 Golf 1.6TDi Glow plug light, limp mode and engine light - please help!

Cannot get a VW scan until 31st Jan. Problems originally started during the summer - garage found some oil in the turbo, cleaned it out, car ran fine. I asked why there was oil in the turbo, they weren't sure.
Warning lights started up again...this time they replaced the boost sensor (image included as not sure this is the correct name). Ok for a while...then more warning lights.
Picture shows non-specialist scan code. Garage unable to fit me in and are at a loss. My husband and I have fitted a new turbo actuator, the garage replaced the glow plugs (at my request). Recently the clutch switch failed and again, the garage could not fit me in so they bypassed the clutch switch as a temporary solution to get me through Christmas. Found the (air intake? - image attached) hose loose in the engine compartment, they told me not to worry about it.
Car has check engine light on permanently and glow plug light intermittently. Has also started going into limp mode if the engine is cold and I ask it for >2500 rpm. Back out of limp mode if I rest the engine, back on if I re-start and the engine is cold. Please can anyone give advice? Taking it to an independent VW/audi specialist on 31st Jan, but if it turns out to be something simple like chasing wires, I could get back on the road sooner and that would be helpful! Thank you.

Sorry, should have added - the helpful (2nd) garage that scanned my car suggested the actuator or a wiring problem. Which is why we replaced the actuator.
We aren't mechanics and lack specialist knowledge (that's why I posted) but my husband farms so we have tools, workspace and are used to having to mend things - even if it's not a tractor.
