APR Tune in Utah

I know this has been brought up in other threads. However, I wanted to know if any VW dealers in Utah are "tune friendly".... I asked a guy at Cutrubus in Layton if getting tuned really did void your warranty, and he said yes. Also, he said in order to do any repairs they had to send data from your car to VW and if it had been flashed, they wouldn't honor the warranty. I really, really want to go to APR Stage 1, but am apprehensive on the reliability of the car afterwards, and possible warranty issues.

Thanks for the input. However, I clearly understand this issue has been discussed if you read my initial post. I was specifically asking the question if dealers in Utah would honor the warranty if problems occurred. No need for rude responses.
