I’m not too sure. It looks like it might have room but it’s gonna be a pretty tight fit. I don’t have the stock 18” wheels anymore.

Nice Set-up!!

How's the pedal feel in comparison to stock? Which brake pad you choose?

Any idea of the weight of just the caliper?

I'm on TT-RS calipers using ECS 2 piece stock sized "R" rotors. The feel and braking power are excellent and I'm able to tuck it all under 18" wheels with room to spare..

The weight savings alone made it worth it to me let alone the huge brake pad that the TT-RS has in comparison to OEM Golf R.. Night an day difference..

The pedal feels great just like stock but a little grabbier. I’m using TRW pads.

The caliper is 15.1 lbs
TTRS rotors 370mm

Very nice! My TT-RS caliper with pads and brackets weigh 12lbs and the ECS 2 piece 345mm rotors are 18.5lbs. Fits nicely under 18” wheels.

So I saved roughly 17lbs per front corner just from the brake upgrade and the braking is soo much better. Along with the 11lbs per wheel savings, its 28lbs savings per front corner, haha… Nothing wrong with a 56lb reduction off the front end either..

Best of everything, less unsprung weight, less rotational mass with no sacrifices other than a lighter wallet..

Next up is the passat control arm and spindle upgrade to shave a few more lbs of unsprung weight from the front of the car…

I got some lightweight Neuspeed RSE10 19” @ 20.5 lbs per wheel. I love it!

Same wheels I'm running on my TTRS. :w00t:

FYI, the stock TTRS rotors are crap, at 9500 miles dealer pronounced them DOA. Pads are 1mm from throw away and rotors are cracking. Granted, I have tracked the heck out of them (Sonoma, Laguna Seca, and Pueblo and High Plains in CO) but seriously it's an RS, should be able to take it. Would look into a decent slotted solution from the aftermarket unless you just like the look of the drilled.

I am running this same caliper and rotor on my Red R , I have Neuspeed RSe12 18x8 ET45mm rims and they clear but it is real close. I put in a 3mm spacer just for some extra clearance insurance. I am looking to replace the Audi 370mm rotors because as stated above they don't last long.

I specifically chose to run OEM sized rotors with the TT-RS calipers because of the known issues with the crap OEM TT-RS rotors. It's only a matter of time before they need pre-mature replacement..

You can change to virtually any rotors you want to as long as you have the correct caliper bracket.. Golf R OEM rotors at 345mm and are more than adequate even for tracking, especially if you go the extra mile with 2-piece rotors, stainless lines, good pads and a brake fluid flush.

I tried doing the 18Z conversion on my 12 R with the ecs 2 piece rotors and the calipers aren't centered over the rotor, so I had 3.5mm machined off the 2 mounting tabs, caliper is now centered but they wont clear my 19' bbs ch or ch-r wheels without spacers, which will cause them to stick out, any other caliper options?

whats with the deep gouge around the new rotor?

If I do brand new brakes/rotors and I see that type of wear pattern, im ripping everything apart and trying again
