The last Chevy Cruze I had did just fine with 138 HP / 148 TQ, this should feel pretty similar acceleration wise. And the ass kicking MPG would just be gravy on top.

Would make a great city car, this.

1.6 VW diesel would be great as well, I spent a lot of time in one in Germany. It actually feels better than the 2.0 during daily driving because it has a smaller turbo and spools up quicker.

I rode in today with my hand on my headliner to shut it the fuck up.

German engineering at its finest. Great for test drives. Starts to fall apart after 1000 miles.

Mine has over 41K miles on it and not a single rattle or creak. I expected lots of rattles being a hatchback but I'm pleasantly surprised not to have any.

Honda needs to sell a Civic Hatchback in the USA again. I don't care if it has that diesel.

I'd rather see the 200hp Accord Hybrid powertrain in a Civic.
