Hi All,
So I had a blown left headlight hid on my mk6r so tried to change it the incorrect way past the fuse box. Disconnected the battery when diagnosing but not when the replacement arrived. Touched the hid on the fuse box when going back in which sparked on contact.
Now getting christmas tree on the dash, rear wiper is on all the time, asks me to put into park when it already is, car starts then stalls. On the plus side the right headlight is still working.
Are we talking just a fuse/relay here or is an ecu possible?
So far i've disconnected the battery for 15 mins for possible reset with no go.
If it looks like a fuse any hints on which one or just check them all with a multimeter?
Any advise would be much appreciated!
Update - i've checked all the fuses and relays in the engine bay which seem ok.
The hid came in contact with the 80a on the right of this panel. There is continuity between all.
Pulling F5 10a from the interior fuse box turns all dash warning lights off.
Does anyone have an engine bay and interior fuse/component diagram specific to the mk6r? The mk6gti appear different.
