So I have owned my 2012 VW GTI for about a year and some change now. I bought it used from Infiniti of Massapequa.
The second I saw it and saw this color after looking at tons of MKVI's, I fell in love.
The day I first laid my eyes on her :wub:
The story was this: I was driving all day looking at MKVI's and MKV's as this was the car I was looking for. I was looking for something with low miles and a 6 speed manual. After looking at about 4 or 5 in one day I was so close to giving up. I was tired and just ready to go home. As I'm driving down Sunrise Highway I came to a red light and just started staring out my window only to see a nice blue MKVI sitting in a lot at an Infinity dealership. I said to myself, why not, and went to look at one more car. This was the only one I didn't see an ad for online or call for beforehand, but it was perfect. Only 11k miles in mint condition, in that nice SBM color that you don't see to often, and of course with a 6 speed manual transmission!
First day at home
First thing I did was window tints (15% all around)
Next was some coding and PIAA Plasma Ion Yellow Fogs
Oh yeah and I had tinted the side markers which were later color matched
Color matched front valence and side markers
APR Carbonio Stage 1 intake installed and front trim and vw emblem blacked out
Cut the shifter too (I know it doesn't affect anything just liked the way it looked)
Later did stage 1 tune at waterfest and just recently went stage 2
Going stage 1 from stock was night and day but I soon got used to it and wanted more! Stage two was just what I needed. I installed the APR downpipe from Elite Motorsports in Farmingdale.
Later did a rear wiper delete and added some nice DEPO dark cherry LED tails that I found on here
Dropped it on H&R Super Sport Springs and installed a custom trunk cover I made with two 10" enclosure-less subwoofers
Here are some pictures of that and some recent pictures of the car itself
PRE-DROP RANDOM PHOTOS
AFTER THE DROP!!!!!:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:
OH YEAH AND LET'S NOT FORGET THE P3Cars GAUGE
Will clean this thread up with nicer better res pictures but thanks for looking!
