H&R OE Sport Springs?

So I just picked up a ‘15 GTI 6MT with 48k miles to use as my ‘fun’ commuter as I have two other cars. My commute consists of a 60 mile highway run each way, some stop and go with some potholes once I reach the city limits. As well as daily driving/around town stuff.

I’m going for an OEM+ set-up and looking to slightly modify

I’ll be running an EQT Stage 1 tune, air filter/inlet hose/inlet pipe, Sigma 6 shifter and that’s about it.

For wheels I have a set of RSE10’s with 235/40/18 Conti DWS 06+

I think the stock ride is fine and would like to keep it similar and just get rid of some of the fender gap. I’d also like a tiny bit of rake, definitely no reverse rake. Would the TT spring pads help with this? What is the part number for them?

So, would the H&R OE Sport Springs fit the bill for my needs? What kind of real world drop are people getting from these? Will my stock 48k mile struts be ok? If not, any budget friendly replacements that are recommended? Is there another spring that I should look at in the .75” range?

If the potholes bug you, you may want to consider upgrading to Bilstein B6 struts and shocks with stock springs. If you want the drop, it is about .75” front and closer to 1” drop in the rear with TT spring pads.
To prevent paying for an alignment twice (and doing the job twice), people tend to like the Bilstein B8’s with H&R OE Sport Springs. Here’s my car on those springs with stock dampers and TT pads on the rear.

I have the OE sport springs paired with Koni Sport dampers, I put the TT spring pad ON TOP of the existing pad to remove the reverse rake, and ride on RSE 10's 18x8 with 235 PSAS's. Also have a 24mm H&R rsb and spacers to square off the look. Love the setup, its OE+ but even with the dampers set to almost full soft will bang over the rougher stuff. Nothing terrible and infrequent enough to jolt your memory that you are not driving on a stock suspension.

H&R RSB = rear sway bar. I have the same one as Visceral. Great upgrade as well.
