Yes, it was my main reason for that choice. Its either variant of the IHI RHF5 (it's not a K03). I sent my own Core, so I didn't have to wait for them to source a CBFA turbo.

What is EA.888.2? If that's my turbo, you are incorrect. Its off a Gen 1 core.

K03 is a Borg Warner Name.

Borg Warner made an aftermarket replacement K03 unit for the EA888.1. You can look them up with part numbers 5303 98 0105 and 5303 98 0106s

I know this information NA MK6 GTI's did not ever come with GEN2 engines. He mentioned TT IDK if he meant TTE.

Probably referring to Audi TT which shares engines with VW Golf line.
