loosing boost

At 3400rpms, your max air flow is 151, then it starts going down hill from there. from 6000rpms and up you should be around 270-290 on the MAF. (stg2 numbers). Your requested boost is there but the turbo is not creating it. This is NOT A BOOST LEAK. Something is choking your turbo off. Your problem has to lie somewhere in the intake system.

What intake do you have? and what tune?

This happened to me last year and here is my thread explaining it.

That's really interesting. I'm on APR stage 2+ and I have the VWR intake. Now I noticed something about the front snorkel can choke it off if the front piece in broken. My front piece is so I'm going to try taking the snorkel off.
Is the filter replaceable on the VWR. If not what's the best way to clean and re oil?.
Thanks

A guy here in Australia recently was having basically the exact same issue as you on an Audi S3. Turned out to be the VWR inlet closing up under boost because it was broken - essentially choking the engine.

You can clean and re-oil the VWR filter if it is dirty. See my DIY here: http://www.vwgolf.net.au/showthread.php?11349-VW-Racing-Intake-(VWR)-foam-air-filter-cleaning-DIY

I wanted people to have a chance to see what the logs should look like so if they run into the same thing and run logs and it shows the same results they would be well educated on it.
