Ever since I had my car (800 miles in when it first presented) it has always eaten a fair bit of oil. After 25,000 miles and 15 months of ownership we've found out why.
I could explain the story of how I finally got to this point but its boring and plagued with frustrating processes that had to be done.
Anyway, yesterday they found the issue. Cylinder 2 had a bad seal or gasket or something on the cylinder head and oil was just leaking into it like it was supposed to. After 25k miles it looked sorta like this...
This is an album full of all 50 pictures of the torn down motor and all the accompanying bits and pieces. Some detailed pictures of the damage.
I'll let you decide which one was cylinder 2.
