Power to visors + radar detector

Could the power running to the visors be used to hardwire a radar detector?

As long as ther is a "hot" wire you could...but I would run a relay setup or something so you don't fry a fuse...might involve some extra work but better safe than sorry as I always say.

the only easy way to tap power from up there is via the light, but obviously that will only work when the light is on... otherwise it's just ribbons that you can't easily tap for power..

atleast that's how it was on the mk5
