Southbend implemented a moderate price increase for January 1, 2013. This group buy is an effort to save you guys some money for being so good to HS Tuning here on Golf MK6.
The new Stage 2 clutches are being produced by Southbend Clutch and the new Stage 3 disc will be manufactured by Exedy. They have changed their designs to reduce:
* Chatter at idle
* Gear lash noise on decel
* Jerky engagement
Both new designs will retain the incredibly high torque holding capacities that they've been known for. Chatter at idle has been reduced by carefully engineering the spring tension on the clutch hub to minimize input shaft float. It's a precise balance with that spring tension to be able to absorb drive line shock, keep chatter noise to a minimum, and reduce gear lash noise while decelerating. The billet steel flywheels included in the kits are precisely balanced, incredibly strong, and reduce rotational mass moderately.
