Stage 2 Clutch Install Problem | Car now won’t go into gear.

2011 VW GTI MK6 | 6SPD. FBO 132K.

I just installed a ECS Stage 2 performance full clutch kit (indeed came w/ new TOB) & the car is now not going into gear but does go into gear when off.

There’s some chattering that stops when I press in the clutch & try to put it into gear.

I installed everything correctly as per the ECS pdf that was provided.
Bled the clutch & it got pressure.

Next try is using this pressure pump I just bought as maybe there’s a lot of air.

Also when i removed the trans some transmission fluid leaked out so I went to the dealership to pick up 3 qts that I will empty out & fill back today.

Anything helps please.

Did you bleed the throw out bearing before you installed it in the trans? Sounds like no, If you didn't you're going to be there a while. Use the pressure bleeder at 29psi with the master completely topped off. Keep bleeding it until you're swearing at yourself for not bench bleeding it
I hope that this is the case!
Thanks for the insight, I’ll def move forward with bleeding to see if it goes into gear anytime soon!

Was the clutch disc installed backwards? There’s a transmission side and a flywheel side …it’s possible to do it backwards and it will not go into gear when the car is on - but it will go in gear with the car off. There have been reports of this happening to our forum members in the past

Good luck

Everything was installed correctly thankfully!
It turned out I needed to just bleed the living shit out it. The pressure bleeder helped immensely after bleeding by hand for like 2 days.
Car drove great for maybe 100 miles then started pushing me out of gear in 6th around 3K RPM… Then the issue happened again where it would go into gear & not even move.
So I took the transmission off AGAIN & now replacing the throw out bearing as it could just be the one that came w/ the stage 2 clutch kit was defective.
Wish me more luck!
