Taking my car out to the strip this weekend just to see what I can run, (nothing serious). It's stage 2 with intake + DP and hopefully I can install my fmic this weekend. But my main question here is, would it benefit me if I disconnected the catback and ran open DP?

No noticable gains. The catback isnt restrictive.

Not to mention dumping all that exhaust and raw heat UNDER the car is not a great idea. If you're really worried about it you can get an open pipe system fabricated at any good muffler shop that you can just swap out.

I've done it. It is noisy as hell, but at the track it would be fun.
