Water pump/valve cleaning

I have 86K miles. I noticed my coolant was at the minimum line with the engine hot. I'm keeping my eye on it because I think I may be losing coolant. If I am and it's the water pump, does it make sense to get the valves cleaned at the same time. Seems to me the intake manifold has to come off to change the pump, so while they are there, might as well clean the valves with 86K miles. Does this make sense?

If you're taking the car to a shop and having them do the work the labor for the water pump does not include removing the manifold. If you do the work and remove the manifold or if they do remove the manifold for whatever reason I'd ask them do perform the cleaning.
