WESTFALIA Tow Hitch questions

Looking at buying one of these hideaway hitches for my gti to trailer wheels to and from shows. The question I have is with the ball detached will the diffuser fit back on the rear bumper? I'm fine with popping it on and off to attach the ball, I just don't wanna cut a hole in my custom diffuser.

Don't think many people have a hitch that's for a truck. What u pulling a cooler?!
Lol they make it for the gti.. Reason I want
It is to put a little trailer for my show wheels to take to shows. Rock chips are screwing them up already smh. On the tdi they cut the center of the diffuser. I want to know if it will clear the diffuser with the ball part off

Nice! Did you cut a hole in your diffuser?

No it sticks out directly underneath the diffuser and pretty much touches it.

Heres some pics I found online.

The ones pictured above are not the westafalia tow hitches. I was looking into getting one, but they don't sell them in the US, and you have to import. So i got the one shown in the last picture. With the westafalia hitch, you have to remove the bumper, and insert the hitch into the frame of the car. Compared to the other hitches that mount underneath the car and is bolted into place.

Here is the one I purchased: http://www.amazon.com/Hidden-Hitch-...5156&sr=1-1&keywords=hidden+trailer+hitch+gti

The hidden hitch works great. No rattling, and it makes it so much easier to tow my bikes.

Ahh now I get it! I was wondering why the other pics of westfalia hitches were in the center of the diffuser. Thanks!
