I'll hand onto my MK6 R for as long as possible, then I'm hoping to switch brands, but stay w/in VAG.

No short term plans for one but I could totally see myself in a used mk7 R or GayTI as a DD in 2020 or so. Between now and then I'll probably have a bunch of impractical stuff.

Next car most likely won't be anything VAG but if I was going to get a MK7 the only ones I would consider are the R or GTD.

Right now im happy with my mk6 especially as i will spoil her with stage 1 n tires now that the sale is here. But my commute situation (possible 80-100 roundtrip) might change within a year later the earliest + atleast couple roadtrips to chicago a year, that way i may consider the gtd or regular tdi and get a car like ap1 s2k on the side, who knows.

Almost, I have one lined up at a dealer. I just need to sell my GTI, they lowballed the hell out of it. Although it's been in a fender bender (rear ended), it was replaced with all OEM parts and drives and looks new. No mechanical damage, just the bumper area. They offered me $14k, it was laughable. Similar ones are on sale for $23k :lol:

İirc you can get quote from carmax then show it to dealer, you could get it worked out, 14k is something about 50k, even an autobahn sells 20-22k at your mileage
