VAGCOM HELP!!! Fault code 00984 & 00985

Hello having problems fixing the coding for this issue (see below) need help cause its driving me insane only having one reverse brake light and dimmer out light in the rear!

Is this with stock tail lights and stock bulbs? If so then it is a bad ground or bad contact on the bulb. Make VW fix it under warranty. You can try some di-electic grease on the bulb contacts.

If this is an aftermarket bulb then that is the problem.

Year 2009? and an invalid month? Did you try just clearing the code to see if it comes back?

If you are using the OEM tails try coding byte18 to 03 then back to 00 to get it back to stock/default. (this is assuming you made changes to this particular byte)

If you ever ran an autoscan prior to any vagcom changes, you should be able to confirm what was changed and restore the coding.

I have a problem with this error 00984 - Left Tail Light (M4) 007 - Short to Ground.
Everything started after a friend (mechanic at the local VW service), in his free time has mounted fog lights, warning lights and door speakers in the rear doors. After these changes the error occurred. I deleted code with VCDs but the error appears again.
I checked the connections between the back door and the car body, the bulb socket in the back door and I noticed no problem.
What god is that?
I do not get along with the idea that when I turn on the ignition the yellow light bulb appears in the dashboard.
