If time is important to you, just try to get them up to 23 or whatever on the trade. Everybody wins. Unless you're upside down with the loan, then you need to part everything.

Try advertising it private party for the price they say and if your willing to either deliver it a few states away and/or have it shipped, you can actually make a few thousand more.

Ex: in MN my GTI with 135K mikes would average around $12,500 realistically. In AZ that could go up to $16,000 fairly easily.

The trade changes the taxes you pay, at least here in Georgia. So that can be a couple thousand in your favor.
