With this update is there any performance difference when compared to the 2.0 version?

Why did it take so long to address these issues?

Suffered with the 2.4 problems for quite some time now. Finally updated to 2.5 yesterday.

To answer your question, from 2.0 to 2.4 there was quite abit of performance increase, so from 2.4 to 2.5, there isn’t any performance difference, just very smooth power from low rpm and dsg shifts are like what it should be now. Not sure what happens after driving more miles, but hopes it remain the same !

Let us know how you like it after getting more miles in. Been waiting to switch from whatever the latest v1 software was

I got my GTI tuned (stage 2) in 2014. Would it be worth making the trip over to get this upgrade? I have the standard 6-speed transmission. Or do I have to pay again for the update?

if you just have stage 2.0, you'll definitely want the upgrade, but if you're at 2.4 right now, which it doesn't sound like it, then it's not very beneficial to a manual gearbox.

No, I meant Stage 2 as in intake and turboback exhaust. I think I'm on like a v1 of the software? I've been starting to have misfire issues and I'm reading about other people and APR tunes experiencing the same thing with carbon build up so now I'm just completely confused.

Could be carbon build up. Stage 2 refers to the tune's current burn. If you still have v1 of the software, you'll want to upgrade. Misfires and all that could be a whole mess of things. Bad fuelpump, bad spark plugs, bad coilpacks, faulty MAF, etc. You can see if there's any stored codes if you take it in while getting the new version of the software burned on.

Updated on Tuesday - Done about 60 miles so far, smooth acceleration, no jolting gear changes or sudden jerk when pulling from braking at roundabouts.

All in all, happy thus far!

ROW - UK DSG model.

Is there anyway to confirm what tune is flashed to your vehicle?

Also what is the version of the updated DSG tune?

I used to get Apr emails whenever I got flash done but didn't get one this time when I updated up 2.5, but the difference is obvious.

Another way is the dongle I guess.

V1.6 is the latest last I heard for dsg.

This has been out for a few weeks now. Anybody got a review/impressions?

I'm waiting for the APR sale to get this done as I'd like to get the TCU tune at the same time
