To get rid of the rattle have a buddy pull up on the intake by the brake reservoir as you tighten down the bolt again.
You gotta be holding it up(the intake pipe) as you tighten it down(bolt) otherwise it has more play room to hit the cap.
Thats what worked for the TSI, at least I would give it a try if i was you.
