Ready to race!
Model/Transmission: GTI DSG
Year: 2011
Current mileage: 80k (tuned stage 2 at 20k)
Failed parts:
Sunroof (came off tracks, destroyed a lot, ended up having to replace the assembly) @50k
2x Coil packs & spark plugs @60k, Carbon cleaning around that time
LPFP @63k (and I think I'm about to replace it again @80k)
Battery @70k and again @80k
Glasses holder @ 72k (lol)
Passenger side rear seat access latch on seat @50k
Currently the OBD II Port isn't working either, I thing someone at emissions testing was a little overzealous removing the reader. Worked for the DEQ, not since.

Failed parts:
- Storage compartment lid in front of shifter wouldn't stay closed. Replaced under warranty.
- Replaced water pump...twice. Covered under warranty and the other covered via the campaign reimbursement (but replaced at euro shop).
- Intake manifold. Covered under warranty.
- HPFP. Out of pocket.

Followed all regular VW maintenance with 5k oil changes.

Feels like I've had to do more, but I think that's it.

Failed parts: Headliner due to Florida heat

I've had a couple of other issues, but they're both related to my tune. I blew a coil the same day I got tuned, and I've had to deal with a slipping clutch. I've never had to take the car in for warranty work.

Just to update my own post...

At 52k the intake manifold went. Then after the carbon cleaning injector #3 was stuck open, so I had to have that replaced too.

2011 GTI base model, completely stock for entire life of car

34K miles - High Pressure Fuel Pump
75K miles - Tensioner - catastrophic engine failure

From 24 miles on it brand new in April 2011 untill 75K the car has been an absolute peach.

Replaced both rear wheel bearings at 52K and intake manifold at 54K. In the last 5 months car started pulling to the left upon slow acceleration and to the right if coasting. This weekend both front ball joints will be replaced and will add camber plates to get camber even on both sides.

2010 DSG 84k kms (52k miles)

Bought it used in August 2014 with 54k kms with a 5 year (actually) everything warranty. I've driven it stock since I got it, not sure about the previous owner.

Nothing has failed so far. Doing a suspension refresh in the next month with install of golf R struts/shocks and VWR springs. Planning on doing the tensioner soon under my warranty.
