That accident was 100% Hamilton's fault and he knew it.

Alonso meanwhile had the most interesting race by simply just being there. Hamilton crashes into him, Ferrari does what Ferrari does and he gains a place he never should have gotten.

Watching the reply of Hamilton's wheel just riding over Alonso's was awesome...then to watch Hamilton have to walk back on that dirt road was epic icing on the cake

what were the words? "Idiot...he only knows how to drive if he starts in first"? LOL

Ferrari is the same train wreck week after week, so that's fun to watch. Vettel pushing baby Stroll wide was nice. Latifi doing what Latifi does.

Lol, everyone making a huge deal about a two drivers making contact and what was said after it. Sounds like Alonso is still salty about 2007 and fans are salty about most of the hybrid era.

Was laughing so hard at that. They were following him close, then they stopped following and widened the zoom a bit, show a lil emotion. Gah! The drama! The camera operator def wanted to make movies before this gig :ROFLMAO:

And then he had to abandon the fastest lap to focus on passing Alonso on track to take back the position. But he sped in the pitlane, so he dropped back behind Alonso in the classification after a 5s penalty was handed out post-race.

You can't make this shit up, folks.

And Hamilton learned the hard way that driving onto a tire isn't the best idea.

"All the time you have to leave a space!"

The tear-off that ruined Leclerc's race, came off Verstappen's helmet... you really cant make this shit up....

I never understood why they just toss them out of the car. This is far from the first time a tear-off has found its way into someone's brake duct. They should have a pouch or something for them inside the cockpit.

Max playing 4D chess with his tear-offs.

What's wild is thinking about ALL of the possible places/directions it could have gone or taken.... but finds Leclerc's brake duct. He's probably ready for next year at this point.

Merc track maps for Zandvoort. T4 seems off or is a typo, but I didn't make them, so who knows.

FP1 results, Max looks to have stopped on track due to transmission issue, but wont incur a penalty. Curious to see how FP2 pans out with some set-up tweaks for RB and Ferrari.

Lol, CRB says the McLaren contract is the only valid one for Oscar Piastri. Looks like Alpine eff'd up HARD.

The fuck was Tsunoda sent back out.

🤦‍♂️
I think it was the team believing thier engineers saying nothing is wrong. They replaced the tires and sent him back out thinking yea it's all good, only to realize there actually was a problem with the car.

Someone wasn't looking at the data.

Otherwise I thought that was a pretty good race. It really was a toss up who would win.

There are definitely going to be some words in the Mercedes garage, Hamilton shouldn't have stayed on those mediums.

Yeah definitely a good race. That was Hamiltons call to stay out on mediums wasn’t it? Russel decided to come in for the soft’s.

Sainz was just not having a good day plus you add in Ferrari’s ability to mess up the most basic things.

I think it was a damned if you do damned if you don't situation. If they were going to go soft they should have done it with both drivers, come out behind max and then try to fight for first (probably not likely). The other option would have been to tell Russell that he he needs to stay out so he could block Max and let Hamilton try to build enough of a lead to win the race. The result still might have been the same with Max winning but then mercedes would have likely ended 2-3. Sending Russell to go to soft and letting Hamilton stay on medium was hanging him out to dry, though they maybe didn't expect to lose the podium to Leclerc

The safety car was just unlucky for Ham, again.

I don't think he's had a favorable outcome from a single safety car since the robbery at the end of last season.
