It was sonoma autowerks, But they only quoted me 1 hour for the downpipe install which is $110 there hourly rate. They're Audi & VW specialist's and that was all I saw there.
If I had a Bigger garage and a lift I would do it but I don't feel like crawling around under my car on a slopped rough concrete & gravel driveway (my back doesn't like it)
Did you get your tune at JHM? How were they? Need to find someone else quick to do my tune & that can fit me in before the sale ends, Sonoma Autowerks is booked up till the 8thBut they said they mite be able to shift some of there regular/non APR customers around??. But if I can get it done cheaper elsewhere and get in before the sale is over I'll definetly do it!!!!
1 hour labor for a DP install is a very reasonable rate.

What the heck? I just tried setting up an appointment with them this morning and they told me the earliest available time was on Tuesday, but the only day I can get off was Monday
Are you planning to do more than just a tune?

Besides my tune & dp, I'm also going to have them do the front sway bar & short shifter
Give the a call they didn't seem to have problem fitting me in between now the 3rd (last day of sale)

^ I see what you meant now. Thanks, but I'm holding out on either 034 in fremont or this other dealer in roseville I just recently discovered was an official APR dealer even though they're not listed on the website. JH motorsports is too far out of the way. 034 is convenient because I'm in the bay area every other weekend.

Well I'm coming from over near sears point/sonoma and I'm going there, When I called them yesterday afternoon there schedule was wide open, So if you can''t get in on monday up there near you I'd give them (JHM) a call before they fill up, It's aan easier more strait forward drive for you (strait down I-5) than it is for me.

It's an easier drive than yours for sure, but still not an easy one to me. If I get it in the Sac area, I'd only drive 30 miles roundtrip at the most. If I get it at 034 while i'm in the bay area it'd only be 50 miles roundtrip. If I were to go to JH Motorsports from either location (sac or the bay), it's easily 120 miles roundtrip. I appreciate the heads up though. But it doesn't matter anyway because I called JH Motorsports to confirm if they had the hardware/software to do an APR tune for mk6 GLI's and they didn't. Only 034 and 2bennett are confirmed to have the necessary equipment.

No worries...all the more reason for me to just use the $700 I would have spent on the tune and upgrade my suspension instead.

Didn't know there was much of a difference between the MK6 GTI & GLI (You mite double check it with ARIN), Well good luck, I seem be having trouble having them (JHM) getting back to me and I just said no to this shop near me (20 miles away & over charges by 1.5 hours on the tune) that got back to me and said they could shift some of there regular jobs around to fit me in next week, So I don't think they would do it again after saying no the first time. I'm just hoping JH Motorsports will get back to me today??

Update; Well Still no word back on my quote from JH Motorsports, 034 got back the same day with a quote, Don't know why it's taking JHM so long to get back to me I may have to try and install the downpipe myself & take it to 034? I might checkout this place called precision motorworks down in santa clara that's an easier drive for me (used to live down that way), Don't want to have to wait till the next sale????????:iono:
