Friday cannot come soon enough. fortunately I have the 4th off from work but i am still on call for work through that time....

anyone doing anything fun for the holiday weekend?

Looking like a pretty low-key weekend here. I usually go to my buddies house for a 4th party but he's not doing it this year. Last year got a little too wild with fireworks

I hate backyard fireworks as well because:
1 - dogs. They are not fans.
2 - my neighbors are morons that do not understand fire safety. 4 houses in my neighborhood (about 500 total homes) have had major structure fires in the last 2 years. Causes included "cutting metal next to a pile of oily rags", "leaving lit candles under window drapes", and yes "fireworks". I do not want these idiots having incendiary devices within 100 yards of my home.
