what about the original GTI detroits?

On the ECS website for the GTI MkV stage 5 Upgrade they states it is needed at least a 12mm spacer.
I'm interested in this kind of information because I was studying something similar with the Touareg calipers but I want to avoid spacers.

The rear, however, doesn't need any spacers. Only the front Cayenne does.
