If you see your guy again, ask him if he'd be interested in shipping a set. I'm very interested.

LOL....only issue is that they drop ship from TSW

He can't order them to get to you, if you know what I mean....they'd have to go to the store and then he'd have to pay to ship them to you (which wouldn't make sense)

You should be able to just go to your local Discount/America's Tire and order them up. They call TSW directly to confirm availability, you put a deposit, they send them to your local store, & you pay the rest is usually how it goes

You'll just have to "negotiate"/beat them up on the price

I can scan/upload a pic of my receipt, if you want....although he just entered them as Nurburgrings (for the price) since the Bathurst weren't uploaded into their system yet

ALSO...
You can check TSW's inventory (in real time).....looks like their first shipment is gone already in the 18x8.5, ET43 specs (in both silver & gunmetal) now:

Is that GTI fitment? The specs look pretty good. I think my wife would love these on her birthday.

Yeah I like my 235's. Guess I will stick with the 18x8 et45.

not on 235s though.

I ran 235/40 on 18x8 et41. After a roll I was fine.
Not sure how low you guys are though.

Sorry for no MK6 pics & I'm on stock suspension for winter, but did a quick test fit....these are BEAUTIFUL in person

Ready to race!
After lowering, stock looks so high! But, perfect for winter I would agree

Well I was assuming that he'd be running the OEM 225/40/18 tires too, which most guys run as well (on 18x8.5 VMR's)

yeah but he posted this

I had the new tires already (got for cheap)....General Gmax's which are the lightest tire I could find in my size of 235/45/18 @ only 22.3lbs:

so that was my first response. but of course i ignored this part of the post

LOL...they're actually for my Passat

since i assumed he was putting it on a gti. our blunders cancel out eachother.

i was pretty low tucking tire. but i feel like any amount of aggressive driving while lowered will put the wheel under the fender whether it sits like that static or not. i'm all about no rub, not minimal rub. none.

Dan, this is for 235/40 R18 95Y (European spec):

Continental SportContact 5, Michelin Pilot Sport 3, Pirelli P Zero, Bridgestone S001,
Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2, Hankook S1 evo², Nexen N8000, Toyo T1 Sport,
Vredestein Ultrac Vorti and Yokohama Advan Sport V105

Durchschnittsgewicht = avarage weight
Gewichtsunterschied = difference in weight (between two of same type)

As always, Bridgestone is heavy as stone. Vredestein (Stein = stone) too.
Seems they take it too literally.
