Oops - Hose Identification

Hey guys. Lets play a game called name that hose! I *may* have accidentally cracked it a bit while replacing my shifter bracket ( ). There were no fluids in it, so I'm assuming its drainage or airflow of some kind. No CELs or anything, just curious what it is exactly and what the preferred way of mending it is.

Any ideas?

if you have a CBFA engine, it sort of looks like your seconday air pump hose. if so, your car will be super loud when you next start it on a cold morning.

^ I believe he is correct. A temp fix would be some duct tape but to replace that is actually quite a pain.

they are correct, it is the cbfa sai pump hose. it's a pretty big piece that goes all way down to around the driver side fog.

I am glad I am not the only one that did this. I taped mine up using HVAC tape and its still holding up. Tape is still holding strong BTW. Bought the replacement and plan on doing it when its warm.

The hose is a breather hose for secondary air pump for the emission system. I believe it is only used on start up.

The part number is:

1K0-131-128-D

I got mine here:

PS... DO NOT use duct tape electrical tape. It turns to shit when it gets hot and this will get hot. Use the silver foil HVAC tape. Mine has been holding up since November with 0 issues.

Thanks for all the replies, guys. Ive got it duct taped together right now, but ill probably try to replace it in the near future - if nothing else just to keep my engine bay looking a little bit cleaner. I've driven it a fair bit since with no noticeable difference.

I just wish they had made that hose out of something less brittle and prone to cracking...
