Lotus Elise? very similar... small, lightweight, RWD, low power, but high power to weight ratio. What's the deal here? :laugh:

it will go sideways stock, I'm sure. LSD and manual transmission standard...

Not sure why people are saying $28k is overpriced for this when GTIs are $24-31k MSRP. This is roughly the same straight-line speed as a GTI, but RWD and riding on a dedicated sports car platform (i.e., not based on a FWD econobox). Seems like a good deal to me. If they fit a factory-turbo into it and keep the MSRP under $35k, it'll be damn near perfect.

Then again everyone who guys sideways guts it immediately.

I just juiced...... if that is truly coming out - an STI version, to the states, with anywhere from 260hp-300+, with Brembos, etc.. I will be buying it.

That was initial, newer reports are saying closer to 2700. Auto trans will probably get closer to 2800 or so.

Also saw Auto didn't come with LSD on base on the manual base had it.

I really hope this doesn't turn into a Gen Coupe situation. Geared towards tuners trying to build less than ideal "eco" geared motors

right, manual with LSD only - which makes sense. No one should be tracking or auto-x'ing with an auto, and sounds like their paddle shift system wont be that good - not on par with DSG for sure.

I think the plan is for this car to be a big tuner car, honestly.
