What did you do to your MK6 2.5 today?

Vinnie, you prolly got them at a rediculus price.

Springs, .... that reminds me I was supposed to pickup those GTI springs you offer up last year.
They are still available for you to pick up?. I paid 150 for the intake, washed the filter, haven't oiled it yet. Neuspeed filter is still better than my original carbonio filter, which is in the garbage now. Will probably get a dry filer in the future tho

My winter setup rubs when I go fast over big bumps. Might need to get rid of them when I install the driver gear springs for winter. The rims are 16", tires are 215/55/16, what do u guys think?

I have similar setup, I like it coz it raises the height of the car slightly.
Yes they will definitely rub, you can get the wheels machined more negatively to tuck inside the fenders but IMO that's better than rolling the rear fender lips which can cause premature rusting. Either way will cost more $$.

Sorry to disappoint guys but I ended up canceling the VWR springs before they shipped. I didn't wanna risk spending all the money for springs, shocks, mounts, bearings, installation, etc just to not like the ride in the end. Not worth it in Montreal IMO.

You should try to meet up with some folks with Golfs/GTI’s that have different set ups, so you can hopefully gain some real world insight into what set-ups might work for your needs without feeling like you’re taking a leap of faith. I drive in Toronto and Ottawa with my set-up often and in winter. I couldn’t go back to a lesser suspension. I also run 17”s apart from winter, which for my preference is the sweet spot.

What are you running now? I had similar concerns but I had to change the suspension as I was coming from a TDI and the difference was night and day. I ended up getting the entire suspension setup off a GTI for pretty cheap and installed that. It has been a great upgrade.

Thanks for the tip Wascally Wabbit1.

Took longer to fill up today than to install the rcd330. What a slick piece of hardware as compared to the outgoing unit.

Is there a version with nav? My wagen has the RNS-315 and I like the features of the newer unit, but wouldn't want to loose nav.

CarPlay/Android Auto use the phone's navigation app. For AA it's google maps or Waze and displays and interacts on the stereo just like the phone so there is no need to have navigation built in.
