Just installed one JL W3V3 @ 4ohm powered by an alpine m500 mono amp. Sealed .77 cubic feat. Amp went to the top left of the spare under the mat. very clean instal and I can pull the sub out to make room if I ever need it in < 30 seconds. Sub sounds fantastic. Simply used an inline converter and tapped into the FR and FL speakers directly from the stock HU and ran a fused 8G from the battery. Plenty of bass (amp gain turned way down) and fills perfectly. Turn it up and there is more base than I could ever need.
Now the stock speakers sound even worse so although I wanted to stop here - that is no longer an option.
