Whistle at idle with new cold air intake.

So I just installed a cts cold air intake and at start up and idle it does a really annoying whistling sound. It’s only like this at idle tho cause on the road everything sounds fine. Could it be an air leak that I can’t see or maybe the dv?

What motor do you have? Do you have a SAI filter installed?

2.0 TSI has 2 flavors on the mk6. CCTA and CBFA. One of these has a SAI, which could explain your symptoms.

Being in CA I believe you have the motor needing a SAI filter.

If your stock intake box had the breather tube connected to the front like it in the pics you'll need the breather filter like that if your intake didn't come with one. Not necessarily that one, but just linked one for example.
