Not anytime soon, I love the car but I do have the quest for stupid fast now. I know my next build already but will stick to this for now.
The GTI runs so well, fast and perfectly smooth. Plus will hopefully get the real 5858 tune sometime this fall once show season dies down a little bit. It definitely makes more power than the old setup so still happy. Plus she def has more in her to go
2.5l stroked and bored to ~2.9l, build ported head, 72mm+ PTE sidewinder, AWD, maybe DSG, and maybe e85 and maybe diesel gearing. Looking for a minimum of 750awhp.
Don't know what platform to start with though choices right now MKV Jetta, MKVI JSW or MKVI golf. Jetta right seems like a good choice, thunderbunny front end = lots of IC room, they are cheap is the big one. Under 10k for the car itself. JSW just a though cause not to many builds on it.
I agree, it's a thought. Want to do something not as main stream.
Idea on the jetta is with the long gears and more aero body possible record setting Texas mile.

With GLI gears he could be in the 10's so easily. His 3rd would go to 105 and 4th would go to like 140mph.
