Door Speaker Failure - 68K
Ridiculous interior rattles in winter
Valve Cleaning (Coming soon)

I think I got them all, I'll add more when I look at my list at home.

VW FTW

I have had

4 recalls
1 For diesel fuel line leaking - Fixed
2 DSG Reflash - Fixed
3 For new nozzle - Refused
4 for new stickers - refused

3 Real issues
1. Incredibly annoying buzz due to loose heat-shield underneath the car, still buzzes once in a while but not bad. -20k miles
2. 02 sensor died causing CEL -25k miles
3. RCD 510 white screen of death at 10k.

This car isn't exactly the most reliable vehicle .... Not even 2 years old and just hit 30k miles.

My best guy friend has a Prius with 110k miles, not a single unscheduled visit.
Grandpas Toyota camry with 30k miles and 8 years old.. not a single visit
Uncles Lexus - 0 issues at 50k miles...

Same.
130K Civic LX. Nothing
170K Prius (Father's) Nothing but a headlight bulb
200K Ford Ranger. Nothing
210K Ford Contour. Fuel Pump replacement.
230K (Still going) Wife's Camry. NOTHING. And she treats it like dirt.

I'll say it again. This will be my first AND last Volkswagen

My point exactly.

It'll top 20ish down here every now and then. but a consistent mid 30s in the morning.

I didn't notice any excessive rattles and we top -40 several times in January.

Whats consider major? I am not voting yet...

I've had parts needed replacing(general known failure point, manifold, waterpump, coil pack). Nothing car crippling but all require dealer visit. And all done under warranty.

I am at 35,9xx now and aside from those nothing had gone terribly wrong(fingers crossed). Tuned to stage 1 since 3k.

Manifold and waterpump are huge issues.

My crown vic is on it's original water pump with 310k miles... those parts shouldn't fail.

2011 GTI, origional owner, mods in sig.. stage 1 at 5,000 and 2 at 10,000. Currently at 50,000.

Only issue was A/C line blew at 22,000, right at the hose the TSB said it would. VW fixed with no issues since. No other parts replaced other than normal maintenance items. Oil changed every 5,000 and DSG every 25,000... cheap peace of mind.

You're funny

I had 2x MK5 GTI. A 2007 (crashed @ 40Kmiles) and a 2009 (54Kmiles)

Then I have a dud. I'm not saying its rattle city, but its certainly excessive. Dashboard console, headliner, passenger door liner, tailgate, and driver side a pillar
