HYDE161
Go Kart Champion
Been a while since I’ve updated my build thread parts list and posted some updates here as all of my updates are posted daily on IG (@becauseHYDE16). The GTI has been “under the knife” so to speak…
Spring Changes:
-got the car back over the winter, finished all the Torqbyte fuel management wiring for the port fuel injection and many other finishing touches
-went into the body shop to have the front bumper re-shaved and fenders painted, added front splitter, rear spoiler extension lip and exhaust diffuser
-spent nearly 3 months driving it around home to figure out how to pass emissions and finally passed with the right combination of software and exhaust setup
-drove it over 400 miles to finish the engine break-in, swapped out the break in oil and sent for analysis at Blackstone Labs (report was great)
-added Corbeau seats for some serious weight reduction
-added TTS master cylinder
-sold my 18x8 wheel and tire setup, new shoes on order
-while waiting for new shoes I decided to lace my Wilwood rotors with safety wire and add new rear Hawk HPS 5.0 brake pads
