Considering trying out an airflow straightener...not sure which approach to try though...

or am I crazy for even thinking about this?

Aren't there some people that have some issues with the maf not reading correctly cause the air is flowing so straight... I could be wrong but I thought I remembered reading something down that line.

My worries with the mesh thing would be introducing weird harmonics in the airflow causing the maf to pick up abnormal readings. The maf straightener we already have our maf sensor on a straight price of pipe on oem Intake. Unless you have custom intake but even then most of those are all one piece and wouldn't have a place this could plug in. What's the benefit?

Ah I didn't really realize the stock one already had something built in. I saw on some cobb thread someone recommended one for the cobb intake and it got me thinking. I think I'll stop thinking about it though. I can't stop thinking about the tornado every time I see it. https://www.amazon.com/Tornado-Save...000FSOZ30/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8

So I'm going to install the street density motor mounts really soon, which dogbone mount would you guys recommend to pair with them?

The best actual dogbone mount imo is APRs. Its also the most expensive though.

They do some voodoo magic that lets it rotate in a opposite direction to reduce the risk of the tranny bolt snapping the housing.

Do you guys think it's worth the NVH? Would an insert be enough? I do not track my car

I was looking at my pleated, oiled CAI filter that i removed yesterday and it has some bends in the pleats. my question is, what criteria would you use to discard and outright replace a air intake filter? obviously if it has a gaping hole, but would you discard one after a certain amount of cleanings, or mileage used?

Ran the car really hard to pull on a STi and when I came to a stop the car wasn't driving it was just revving with a "wrench" indicator blinking where the "D" mode usually displays on the dash. I ended up turning off the car and turning it back on and it drove away fine and normal. No CEL or anything of that. Maybe it was just the car telling me it needed a breather?

Edit: could also possibly be dsg tune related? Thanks for inputs

I think the wrench symbol is just a service/maintenance reminder.
