I am thinking of putting in a couple usb ports where the " blanks " are in front of the shifter. How difficult is this to do? Do they just punch out or must they be cut out to install th usb port? Also, is wiring them easy or must the whole console be removed? Thanks

maybe someone can clarify this for me: in VW's configurator, both for the GTI 2.0 and golf 1.8 engines it says recommended fuel 'regular' but advertised hp and torque ratings attained with 'premium' fuel. Fair enough. but i always thought our GTIs were supposed to use premium fuel only...

It has been since the late 90's since i have had to replace a battery. Luckily, i have never been left stranded. Back then my cars did not have elec locks, ab, tps, etc. If i repace my gti's battery before it dies completely, will i need to re-set all my car's settings? Thnx
